Hi. I’m a newbie so please forgive my errors.
I’m in my 60s and have had ET since my teens.  Years ago I was given Valium and electro convulsive therapy was suggested as I was told it was just severe anxiety! It definitely gets worse when I’m ill, tired or anxious and it’s getting worse with age.  Thank goodness I’m older and wiser and I now know I’m normal but rather wobbly!

I tried beta blockers but the effect was limited and I developed a dodgy heart beat. A small amount of alcohol works quite well but of course this isn’t always appropriate.
More recently I’ve been to an upbeat yoga class and was amazed how much the controlled breathing and air of calmness helped me.
I hate having this tremor and wish it was easier just to tell people. It’s obvious they notice but then it often becomes ‘the elephant in the room’ as I try to control it rather than just explain what it is.  More media coverage would help I think then we could all ‘come out’ and shake with laughter instead.😂
